About this Page.

Hi Again,

This Page is about me learning about the Government Railways Of New South Wales, which was started in 1855 and went to 1932.

There is a possibility the name of the Railways then changed to,

Dept of Transport NSW, but I need to check the time line.

This May have been later in the History of the Railways.

The Story.

The first Railway in New South Wales was started on the 10th of December 1831.

The First Government run Railway In NSW was started in 1855. In September, on the 26th, a railway line was opened from Sydney to Parramatta. There were 6 Stations, and, they were, Sydney, Newtown, Ashfield, Burwood, Homebush and Parramatta.
